I. WHAT MOTIVATES MEN TO LISTEN?
A. Curiosity (Acts 17:12-21).
B. Greed (Acts 24:24-26).
C. To trap the speaker (Mark 12:13).
D. Admiration for the speaker (1 Corinthians 1).
E. Love for the truth (Acts 8:26-31).
II. HOW SHOULD MEN LISTEN?
A. Carefully (Matthew 7:15, 16; 1 John 4:1; Isaiah 8:20).
B. Openly (Acts 17:11; Matthew 13:15).
C. Reverently (1 Thessalonians 2:13).
D. Frequently (Psalm 1:1, 2; Acts 17:11).
E. Believingly (Hebrews 4:2).
F. Submissively (Acts 10:33).
III. WHAT ARE THE RESULTS OF LISTENING THE RIGHT WAY?
A. Faith (Romans 10:17).
B. Understanding (Luke 8:18).
C. Conviction (Acts 2:37).
D. Joy (John 15:11; Luke 11:28; Revelation 1:3).
E. Cleansing (John 15:3).
F. Strengthening (1 John 2:14; Acts 20:32).
CONCLUSION:
1. The world needs to hear the Bible.

3. If we listen to the Bible with right attitude we will be like the tree planted by the water (Psalm 1).
